Butterfly Farm

One of the world's most comprehensive butterfly and insects farms with well over 200 local species including rare ones namely Raja Brooke and Birdwing. There is also a collection of more than 400 insect specimens.


Auyin Hill Resort

Mini Malaysia
A stupendous theme complex to enable visitors to view the traditional houses of the 13 states of Malaysia on a single visit. The complex displays life-size authentic houses of Malaysia crafted by master builders. Each house has been furnished with corresponding elements adding ambience of originality that capture the houses in their traditional setting.

Mini Asean
A unique theme park conceived as the summary of prominent cultural elements of the countries that make up ASEAN i.e. Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Singapore and Brunei. Visitors will acquire a definitive sense of history and culture of the countries based on the features of the houses constructed with remarkable detail.

Recreational Forest Ayer Keroh
A serene setting of tropical forests awaits discovery. Untouched to enable visitors to truly experience a leisurely walk through a tropical haven. The trees are labeled making it fun and an educational for a quick lesson in Malaysia's rich flora and fauna. It is an ideal setting for juggle tracking, hiking, jogging and cycling. The routes are marked.

Crocodile Farm
The farm is the largest in the country. Since its opening in 1987, this Crocodile Park has expended and transformed to include a section of other reptilian species. This Sprawling 3.2 hectare park, a leading tourist attraction is now home to more than 200 crocodiles of various species from all over the world including the Siamese, African Dwarf, Indian Marsh/Mugger, Humpback, Tailless and many more.

Malacca Zoo
It is located about 13 km from Malacca city. It is the second largest zoo in the country covering and area of 54 acres with about 1,200 animals made up of 200 different species of animals found in Southeast Asia and Africa amidst natural setting. It was established in 1963 and it is the first zoo in the region with the almost extinct Sumatran Rhinoceros and Seladang on display. The latest attraction is the "Safari Theme Park". Rated the best zoo in this part of the country, it is an exciting place to discover the animal kingdom at your own pace. Entrance fee for adult is RM5.00 and children is RM2.00. Visiting hours is daily from 9.00 am to 6 pm

Museum of Aborigines
Managed by the Malacca Museums Corporation (PERZIM). This museum is located at Jalan Ayer Keroh, next to the Crocodile Farm. Generally, this museum exhibits various collections from the local Aborigines.

Closed on Monday.

Peacock Paradise Bird Park
Located in 4.5 hectares of landscaped pathways the Peacock Paradise Bird Park is the world's largest walk in aviary. It contains over 3000 free flying birds from 100 species within a netted enclosure. It opens from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm with entrance fee for adults at RM5, children 7 to 12 years old RM2 and children from 5 to 6 years old RM1 . Located near Air Keroh along the way to Durian Tunggal Town.

Dol Said's Grave
The ninth ruler of Naning who defiantly opposed the imposition of tax on the district by the British. He valiantly resisted British forces on Naning, deploying his troop with outstanding display of military ingenuity that outsmarted the invading forces on two campaigns. The Naning war, waged in 1834, made Dol Said a hero of exceptional valor that earned him a permanent place in the history of Malacca.

Gadek Hot Spring
Popular as the spa among visitors from far and wide seeking therapeutic cure for skin diseases. Handicraft shops and playgrounds have been made available to provide additional attractions for visitors. An ideal spot for family outing.

Cape Rachado
Birdwatchers' paradise. An important lowland marking to migrating birds set in a serene headland forest punctuated by a blue lagoon and a beautiful beach.

Dutch Fort
Used an outpost to enforce the monopoly of tax collection. It was manned by a small garrison of Dutch officers but was later abandoned when the mining Mining area ceased its operations.

Hang Tuah's Mausoleum
Hang Jebat was the champion of justice who died a tragic death. Hang Jebat was unceremoniously killed by Hang Tuah in a duel of honour that lasted 3 days and 3 nights. He ran amuck after suffering a fatal wound from Hang Tuah's dagger 'Keris Taming Sari.' In the name of justice to avenge the Sultan's hasty punishment against Hang Tuah for a crime he didn't commit. Hang Jebat was accused by Hang Tuah of 'derhaka' (contumacy). The duel between two of Melaka's most prominent knights has left a permanent question as to the moral behind Hang Jebat's aberrant reaction against authority and the conventions by which Hang Tuah exercised his conduct as a loyal subject of the Sultan.

Hang Tush's Well
Located in Kampung Duyong where Hang Tuah was born and spent his childhood among four of his good friends who would later become the famous knights of Malacca.

Pulau Besar
A heaven for holiday makers seeking sandy beaches, clear blue water, the sun and the sea front chalets on stilts. The island is an excellent resort for swimming, fishing, picnicking and snorkeling.

Tun Teja's Mausoleum
The daughter of Sri Amar Di Raja Pahang convinced by Hang Tuah to marry Sultan Mahmud Shah. Died a queen in Merlimau, about 24 km. from Malacca City, while retreating with members of Malacca royal family from Portuguese attack in 1511.

Malacca Traditional House
Architecturally resplendent and signature to Malacca's 19th century artistic style. Built by a Chieftain, intricate wood carving forms the unique facade as well as the interior section of the house. Located 5 km. Southwest of Merlimau town.

Jasin Museum
Established to uncover the facts, and the myths, behind the establishment of Jasin as one of the significant settlements of Melaka's territorial expansion. Exhibits range from historical and cultural artifacts.  An account of Sultan Mahmud Shah's infatuation for Puteri Gunung Ledang (Princess of Gunung Ledang) is also include as the permanent exhibits at the museum.

Alor Gajah Museum
Exhibits will help visitors to journey into the past and to visualize the amazing stories behind the district of Alor Gajah. The district was the site where Naning War was waged. There are also exhibits on the cultures of the Malay, Chinese and Indian.

A' Famosa Animal World Safari
Spread over 150 acres of lush green, it is home to some of the world's most exotic animals. With animal rides, guided tours, a high-tech farmhouse hatchery, animal rides and shows, the A' Famosa World Safari truly has something for everyone in the family.

Hawksbill Turtle (Pulau Upeh)
The Hawksbill turtle is a medium sized marine turtle with a hawklike beak and a thorny shell. Brown and likely striped, these turtles find the ideal resting ground on the island of Upeh. One of the earth's rarest species it lays its eggs from the month of March to June but visitors can expect to catch sight of at least a few turtles every night throughout the year.

Seri Tanung Homestay, Masjid Tanah
Experience the real kampung way of life at Seri Tanjung village. Twice winner of the National Beautiful Village competition, Seri Tanjung offers accommodation for visitors under the Homestay concept. The village is in Alor Gajah District, approximately 24km away from Melaka Historic City. Visitors will stay with host families, the villagers of Seri Tanjung. As such, visitors wiii experience the essence of village life in Seri Tanjung, an experience which is becoming a rarity nowadays.
